Sonny has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Bellwether in 2025, Sonny was a Lead Portfolio Manager at Mackenzie Investments focusing on US Small and Mid-Cap Equities. His team was responsible for managing $7B in assets. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Hedge Fund analyst at Picton Mahoney Asset Management, one of Canada’s leading alternative managers.
Sonny’s career in the investment industry began at Formula Growth Fund in Montreal, which is one of the oldest independent asset managers in Canada. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University and followed it up with an MBA from Oxford University. He is a CFA charterholder and also a registered Portfolio Manager.
Sonny captains a tennis team at his local club and loves scuba diving in exotic destinations across the world.
